Tim is the founder and CEO of Intelligent Logistics. In his first job out of college he was hired by a sports manufacturing company and exposed for the first time to the glamour and glitz of logistics. After several management and director positions with both carriers and shippers, he decided to bootstrap a start up applying what he had learned from both perspectives. Intelligent Logistics was born on February 28, 2002 with the goal of helping clients become more successful by making their cargo transportation simple.
Tim earned a B.A. from Texas A&M University (where he was in the Corps of Cadets), as well as a M.S. in International Logistics from Georgia Tech. Tim is also a 2011 graduate of the EO/MIT Entrepreneurial Masters Program and holds the industry accreditation of Certified Transportation Broker (CTB).
Outside of Intelligent Logistics, Tim is also the President of Watterson Ranch Inc., a family-owned ranch that raises natural, certified grass-fed beef, as they have for six generations. Tim is a musician and songwriter, a goofball, and an oenophile. He has visited 27 countries and is happiest when he is with his wife and two sons or just hanging out with friends. He doesn’t hate clowns as much as he used to, but he certainly doesn’t like them. He is completely OCD about flying insects like flies, mosquitos and especially gnats, and yet really loves bees.
Ed Valle, CPA
Ed is an accomplished business strategist and entrepreneur. After receiving a B.S. in Accounting at the University of Alabama, Ed cut his teeth in corporate accounting with Shell Oil and later, KPMG/Peat Marwick. He founded his first company in Houston in 1984 and successfully built it to over $25 million in revenue. Ed then relocated a spin off of that company to Austin and continued to grow it until its 1997 sale to a Fortune 100 company. He has been working with Intelligent Logistics in various roles since 2003.
Ed holds a CPA license in Texas. Outside of work Ed likes to spend time with his wife and family, and be at their beach house in Florida. Ed has purple belts in five martial art disciplines and a green belt in Six Sigma (see what I did there?). He also likes knife throwing and science fiction movies. Odds are that Ed can also do more one armed pushups than you.
